Shoal Creek Park is a 167-acre nature park located on Highway 119 3 miles outside of Montevallo. November 2013, Ms. Elizabeth “Betty” Mahler donated her family estate to the city to be developed into a family recreation area. The property, once part of 800-acres, features walking trails as well as a pavilion and restroom facility. Future development of the site is planned.
