The Cheaha Bald Rock trail offers a short walk to a spectacular view. The trail, less than half a mile, is an elevated wooden boardwalk which is handicap accessible. There are multiple short trails which branch off from the boardwalk and offer more wooded views of the area. This is a prime spot for Scarlet and Summer Tanagers and Woodpeckers. The winter months bring in Purple Finches, Pine Siskins, Golden-crowned and Ruby-crowned Kinglets, Brown Creepers, and Red-breasted Nuthatches to the area. For a short hike, while you’re in the area, you can’t beat this one.

Directions

Located inside Mt. Cheaha State Park. Follow the park road until you see the signs for Bald Rock Lodge. Parking area adjacent to the trail.
